MASTER’S DEGREE COURSES – ENROLLING WITH A SHORTENED CAREER

If you choose to enroll with a shortened career, meaning directly enrolling in your second year of your Master’s Degree course, Poliba will acknowledge and validate your entire past career, calculating taxes based on the current Tax regulations.

If you wish to enroll with a shortened career, you must:

  1. Write and sign an application form and a self-certificate stating which past careers should be acknowledged, complete with a list of all the exams you’ve taken, assign it to your department and send it to antonia.perrone@poliba.it;
  2. Once you’ve notified administration that you’ve been allowed to enroll with a shortened career, go through the enrollment procedure via your esse3 page and select “Abbreviazione di carriera” (Career shortening) as enrollment type;
  3. Carefully fill out the section named “Dati di prima immatricolazione nel Sistema universitario” (First enrollment data), which is needed to identify your starting university and the data regarding your past career;
  4. Open a support ticket via Helpdesk Poliba and notify administration that you successfully filled out the application form. When opening a ticket, select “IMM. E ISCR. MAGISTRALI” as category, write “Notifica domanda di immatricolazione con abbreviazione di carriera” (Notification of enrollment with a shortened career) as subject and your fist and last name, phone number, original university and the Master’s Degree course you chose (also indicating which study course you chose, for example “Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Mechanics”) as text.

NOTICE: In order to acknowledge and validate your past exams, please make this request through DEPASAS after you’ve enrolled and select the “Request credit acknowledgment for external exams” module. Remember to specify that you’ve requested to be enrolled in your second year. The outcome of this procedure will be handled by the appropriate structure that belongs to the Department offering the Master’s Degree course you chose.
